Weekend at the St. Lawrence Market
My appreciation for the St. Lawrence Market never seems to dwindle. I've been a resident of the neighbourhood for years and I try to go to the Market as often as I can. Saturday is by far the most popular day, and the energy is electric and contagious. I have my favourite vendors, including Upper Cut Meats, and it's for good reason - service. They recognize me, are so helpful and go out of their way to make sure my experience is a positive one... every time. Being in the service industry myself, (some may say that real estate is about sales, and while there is truth to that, if you're only 'selling', you may not be in business for long.) I appreciate a high level of service, and it's that element that in my opinion, makes an experience extraordinary, whether you're selling houses, or meat!!
There is a distinct neighbourhood feel to this area, even though you're right in the heart of downtown, minutes to the financial district, cafes, restaurants, Eaton Centre, Distillery District, Theatre District - Shall I continue?? The residential buildings are for the most part low to mid rise, some with lots of amenities, others with very few. This neighbourhood is as diverse as it is fabulous, and I can understand why it continues to grow in both value and appeal.
